Park Ji-hyun "Kim Nam-guk, Who Does He Think He Is Coming and Going? Should Resign from Lawmaker Position"
"Not Leaving the Party but Resigning from the Assembly Seat"
Party Leadership and Representative Lee Jae-myung Emphasize Responsibility Debate
Former Emergency Committee Chair of the Democratic Party, Park Ji-hyun, criticized Representative Kim Nam-guk, who voluntarily left the party amid controversy over holding virtual assets, saying, "'Temporarily' leaving the Democratic Party?who gave him the right to come and go as he pleases?"
On the 14th, Park said on Facebook, "The Democratic Party must promptly uncover the truth regarding Representative Kim Nam-guk's coin controversy and impose appropriate disciplinary action," adding, "Kim should resign from his position as a lawmaker, not just leave the party."
Park emphasized, "According to the Democratic Party's regulations, if a person subject to disciplinary action leaves the party to evade punishment, they must be expelled, and recorded in the 'List of Party Leavers' as someone who left to avoid discipline," adding, "If the Democratic Party does not strictly handle this according to the spirit of its regulations, it will not be able to avoid the stern judgment of the public."

Park pointed out, "The coin controversy involving Representative Kim Nam-guk has plunged the already dark Democratic Party into an even darker abyss," and said, "It is the Democratic Party leadership who must take the lead in resolving this."
She directly criticized, "Swift and decisive action from the Democratic Party leadership is absolutely necessary, but I do not know what the leadership is doing right now."
Park also said, "Recently, when uncomfortable questions arose regarding the money envelope scandal, Leader Lee responded to reporters' questions by countering with 'What about Kim Hyun-ah? What about Park Soon-ja?' Representative Kim learned from him and responded similarly, saying, 'Lee Jun-seok did it too, so why am I the only one being targeted?'" She added, "This reminds me of the saying, 'You reap what you sow.'"
She stressed, "Leader Lee must clearly take responsibility and lead in this situation," adding, "This cannot be seen as just an individual problem of Representative Kim Nam-guk."
