Gwangju Bank Donates Proceeds from 5·18 Public Benefit Account Sales
Gwangju Bank announced on the 11th that it donated 20 million KRW from the sales proceeds of the public interest account 'Neoki May, Remembering That Day' (Neoki Account) to the 5·18 Memorial Foundation.
Since 2021, Gwangju Bank has donated a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the 'Neoki Account' product for three consecutive years, contributing a total of 60 million KRW to date.
This product was launched to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the May 18 Democratic Movement, to remember the spirit of May, and to practice sharing with the local community.
The cover and inner pages of the account book feature images of sites designated as 5·18 historical sites, including the intercity bus terminal located on the former site of the Jeonnam Provincial Office, the National 5·18 Democratic Cemetery, 5·18 Democracy Square, and Jeonil Building, which have received continuous love from customers.
