Changwon Indoor Swimming Pool, "You Can Swim Starting June 1"
Recruitment of New Members for Swimming Lessons Starting from the 15th
The Changwon Indoor Swimming Pool in Gyeongnam, which had been closed for two years due to facility improvement construction, is making thorough preparations ahead of its reopening on June 1.
The Changwon Indoor Swimming Pool has been undergoing facility improvement construction since September 2021 following a ceiling steel support collapse accident in May 2021 and subsequent safety inspections.
For the safety of users, the construction involved removing large ceiling speakers, completely replacing the roof truss secondary members, installing ceiling air conditioning equipment, waterproofing the roof, and painting both the interior and exterior, and is now nearly complete.
Accordingly, the corporation plans to fill the swimming pool with water starting from the 22nd and conduct test operations until the 31st; if no operational issues arise, it will reopen on June 1.
With the reopening, swimming lessons will resume, and new members for June will be recruited starting from the 15th for swimming lessons, free swimming, aqua aerobics, and more.
New member recruitment will be conducted 100% online (first-come, first-served). For more details, please refer to the Changwon Indoor Swimming Pool website or contact the swimming pool's general information desk.
