Kyungbok University Partners with Webtoon Production Company 'Kenaz' for Industry-Academic Cooperation
Gyeongbok University has signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Kenaz Co., Ltd., a specialized webtoon production company.
The Department of Video Media Content at Gyeongbok University announced on the 10th that it has signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Kenaz, a webtoon production company that produces and develops original webtoons and supplies them to Japan's Apple Books, to develop customized educational programs.
Kenaz produces and develops original webtoons on Apple Books and supplies Korean webtoon content to Apple Books.
Starting with the release of more than 20 original webtoon series in Japan, Kenaz plans to exclusively supply webtoon content from Korean webtoon production companies to Apple Books.

Kim Ju-hee, head of the Department of Video Media Content at Gyeongbok University, said, "In an era where personalized personal branding is necessary, through various projects with Kenaz in the process of nurturing media creators who will lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution with creative thinking, students will have opportunities to grow." She added, "We will continue to develop programs for operating customized educational courses requested by industries and nurturing field-tailored talents required by companies through industry-academia cooperation with various media content industries."
