‘Scratches from Flower Petals Still Leave Scars’ Donation Relay Launched
First Donor Jeong Gyudeok Urology Clinic Donates 5 Million Won
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam is taking active steps to restore family functions for children who have suffered abuse.
On the 10th at 11 a.m., the city held a donation relay signing ceremony for the family function restoration program for abused children in the meeting room and officially launched the operation.
Director Jeong Gyudeok of Jeong Gyudeok Urology Clinic (fourth from the left in the photo) donated 5 million won to Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, on the 10th.
View original imageThe donation relay project, “Even if Scratched by Petals, Scars Remain,” which is being implemented for the first time, involves donors contributing more than 1 million KRW for abused children and then nominating the next participant or donating voluntarily. The first donor, Jeong Gyudeok Urology Clinic, donated 5 million KRW.
The funds raised through the donation relay will support various programs aimed at restoring family functions for abused families requiring intensive case management and preventing re-abuse, including ▲home counseling visits by professional counselors ▲a 2-day, 1-night family camp ▲family pottery making ▲family photo shoots.
Poet Kang Wonseok sympathized with Changwon Special City’s project purpose of practicing Abuse ZERO! Child Respect PLUS! and dedicated his poem “Even if Scratched by Petals, Scars Remain” from his work Mind.
Director Jeong said, “I decided to donate to help abused children. I will continue sharing activities for children in need within the community.”
