On the 10th, marking the first anniversary of his inauguration, President Yoon Suk-yeol visited the National Seoul Memorial Cemetery and stated, "Together with the great people, we will build a country of freedom and innovation that responsibly contributes to world peace and prosperity."
President Yoon wrote this in the guestbook after paying respects at the Memorial Tower at the National Seoul Memorial Cemetery around 11 a.m. that day.
Earlier, President Yoon posted on social media (SNS) that "It has been a hectic year running to create a new nation for the people," and added, "I will continue to work focusing solely on the people."
President Yoon arrived at the cemetery at approximately 10:56 a.m. wearing a black suit and a dark-colored tie. The ceremony proceeded in the order of saluting the national flag, laying flowers and incense at the Memorial Tower, saluting the national flag again, and writing in the guestbook.
Senior officials from the ruling party, government, and the presidential office also attended the memorial ceremony that day. Among the Cabinet members and attendees of the Cabinet meeting, 22 people participated, excluding Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, who was on an overseas trip, Foreign Minister Park Jin, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Lee Chang-yang, Minister of Government Policy Coordination Moon Byung-kyu, and Financial Services Commission Chairman Kim Joo-hyun.
From the ruling party, People Power Party, the leadership including Representative Kim Gi-hyeon, Floor Leader Yoon Jae-ok, Policy Committee Chair Park Dae-chul, Secretary-General Lee Cheol-gyu, Chief Spokesperson Yoo Sang-beom, and Party Representative Secretary-General Koo Ja-geun were present.
From the presidential office, aides such as Senior Secretary for State Affairs Planning Lee Gwan-seop, Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Lee Jin-bok, Senior Secretary for Civil Society Kang Seung-gyu, Senior Secretary for Public Relations Kim Eun-hye, Senior Secretary for Economic Affairs Choi Sang-mok, Senior Secretary for Social Affairs Ahn Sang-hoon, First Deputy Director of the National Security Office Kim Tae-hyo, and Second Deputy Director Im Jong-deuk attended.

Afterwards, President Yoon is scheduled to have lunch with Cabinet members, ruling party leaders, and presidential aides, during which he will deliver a message urging the promotion of national policy tasks.
