Park Yong-jin "Tae Young-ho Should Resign Not Only as Supreme Council Member but Also as Lawmaker"
Call for Resignation of Tae Young-ho from Parliament
"No Apology Despite Provoking South Korea's Sensitive Issues"
On the 10th, Park Yong-jin, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, urged Tae Young-ho, who resigned from the People Power Party's Supreme Council, to "resign not only from the Supreme Council but also from the National Assembly. That is the demand of the people."
Park posted on Facebook that day, saying, "After provoking the dragon's vein of the Republic of Korea, which is public sentiment and common sense, he resigned from the Supreme Council position, which is meaningless, without any apology or explanation, only looking at the highest power," and criticized, "Both the method and the content were wrong."
Park pointed out, "There is content missing and not mentioned even once in Tae's press release," adding, "Tae apologized to the presidential office but did not apologize to the people." He continued, "How can he not say a single word of apology to the people after making all sorts of outrageous remarks and dividing the people?"

He then emphasized, "The suspicion of presidential office interference in nominations, originating from Lee Jin-bok (Senior Secretary for Political Affairs to the President), is subject to investigation, so he must be prepared for punishment, and the acts that hurt the people of Jeju Island and the nation with outrageous remarks about the April 3 Incident and about Kim Gu must bear appropriate political responsibility."

On the same day, Tae voluntarily resigned from the Supreme Council ahead of the disciplinary decision by the party's Central Ethics Committee. At 10 a.m., he held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Hall and said, "Today marks the first anniversary of the Yoon Suk-yeol government, and I no longer want to be a burden to the party. All the controversies so far are entirely my responsibility," announcing his resignation from the Supreme Council position.
