It collaborates with the government, public institutions, companies, and civic groups to establish a proper resource circulation system for waste electronic products and carries out cooperative projects to promote resource circulation. As part of fulfilling the social responsibility of public institutions and practicing eco-friendly management, the Real Estate Board decided to participate in the resource circulation program for electrical and electronic products.
According to this agreement, the Real Estate Board will hand over end-of-life waste electronic products such as PCs, monitors, and office terminals to E-Circular Governance, which will carry out the collection and eco-friendly recycling of the waste electronic products.
All processes from the disposal stage to collection and recycling will be conducted under the management and verification of the Korea Environment Corporation. The Real Estate Board plans to use all profits generated from resource circulation activities for social contribution activities.
Son Tae-rak, President of the Real Estate Board, said, "We are honored to contribute to carbon reduction activities by establishing a sustainable resource circulation system," adding, "We will take the lead not only in fostering an eco-friendly and resource circulation culture but also in global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities for the development of eco-friendly and green buildings."
Jung Deok-gi, Chairman of E-Circular Governance, said, "This agreement has become an opportunity to open the way for the realization of electronic product resource circulation as the first public institution in the Daegu region," and added, "We hope that this will spread the positive influence of resource circulation throughout the local community."
