President Yoon Suk-yeol said on the 9th that the government will make greater efforts to allow the athletes who achieved overall victory at the International Abilympics to fully demonstrate their talents and realize themselves through work.
On the same day, President Yoon invited the team, which achieved overall victory and a 7th consecutive win at the 10th International Abilympics, to the Blue House State Guest House for a luncheon, saying, "I am proud and pleased that the team's hard sweat and efforts have borne great fruit."

In particular, President Yoon promised to support young people with disabilities to properly learn and find jobs suited to their aptitudes so that they can become outstanding talents, and to properly provide support necessary for the employment and start-ups of disabled technicians.
At the event, athletes Yoon Ji-seon (data processing), Park Geum-suk (dressmaking), Choi Chang-sung (baking), and team doctor Kim Jung-yeon gave remarks on behalf of the athletes. According to the presidential office, Yoon Ji-seon, who is hearing impaired, won a gold medal with a perfect score and received a special award despite undergoing surgery three days before the competition due to retinal damage caused by intensive training.
Park Geum-suk, who is also hearing impaired, worked as an administrative assistant for people with disabilities during the day and devoted herself to training at night, winning a silver medal. Choi Chang-sung, who became disabled due to a traffic accident 15 years ago, obtained a master craftsman certificate in baking after long rehabilitation and won a gold medal at this competition. In addition, team doctor Kim Jung-yeon, a surgical specialist who is also disabled, has taken care of the athletes' health by closing her hospital, her livelihood, during a total of four competitions from 2003 to this year.

At this 10th competition, South Korea sent 34 participants (34 events), with a record number of 18 gold medals, and 31 athletes won awards (18 gold, 4 silver, 9 bronze), achieving overall victory and a 7th consecutive win.
