According to Barunson E&A on the 9th, the 76th Cannes Film Festival non-competitive invited film 'Spiderweb' will have its official screening at 10:30 PM (local time) on the 25th at the Lumi?re Theater in Cannes, France. A press conference will be held the following day.
Director Kim Ji-woon and lead actor Song Kang-ho, along with Lim Soo-jung, Oh Jung-se, Jeon Yeo-been, Jung Soo-jung (Krystal), Jang Young-nam, and Park Jung-soo will attend the festival. This marks director Kim's third invitation and Song Kang-ho's eighth invitation to the Cannes Film Festival.
The film is set in the 1970s and depicts the story of director Kim, who believes that reshooting only the ending of the completed film 'Spiderweb' will turn it into a masterpiece. Amidst harsh conditions on the verge of madness, including censorship and actors and producers who do not understand the changed content, the director pushes forward with the filming.

The distributor has released the poster for 'Spiderweb' screening at the Cannes Film Festival. The poster features an illustration of spider webs seemingly hanging over the back of director Kim (Song Kang-ho) sitting in the director's chair. After a successful debut, director Kim, labeled as a specialist in melodramas, is determined to reshoot the ending of the already completed film 'Spiderweb,' believing it will become a masterpiece. The poster arouses curiosity about whether the filming can be safely completed under all sorts of adverse conditions and whether the long-cherished masterpiece can be born.
