Hanppuri Black99 is a brand that presents black ginseng, a traditional ingredient mainly consumed as a holiday gift, as a product that the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) can easily enjoy in their daily lives.
The iF Design Award, hosted by the German International Forum Design, is considered one of the world's top three design competitions alongside Germany's Red Dot Design Award and the United States' IDEA Design Award.
This year, Hanppuri Black99 received favorable evaluations at the iF Design Award for its brand strategy that combined black ginseng with sports and gaming, expressing a youthful sensibility. The core element of the brand design, '99,' carries a double meaning: it represents the unique feature of Hanppuri black ginseng, 'Gujeung Gupo' (steamed and dried nine times), and the jersey number on a sports uniform. Additionally, through the concept 'We are all player,' the brand conveys a message of supporting individuals who play as athletes in the game of life through black ginseng.
