From Ordering to Payment and Dish Return at the Table... KT 'HiOrder'
Table Order Communication Integration Small Business DX Service
Providing Differentiated Service through Serving Robot Connection
3 Months Free Service Fee to Celebrate Launch
Customers visiting a restaurant select their food menu and make payments directly through a tablet placed at their seats. Various payment methods, including Dutch pay, are offered, and support for 10 languages makes it easy to accommodate foreign customers. AI (artificial intelligence) service robots are integrated to provide serving and dish return services.

View original imageOn the 9th, KT announced the launch of the premium table order service “HiOrder,” based on these features. This is part of the digital transformation (DX) for small business owners. HiOrder consists of a tablet menu for customers to order, a tablet notification board for business owners to check, and accessories including Wi-Fi APs. The biggest differentiator is that, based on KT’s wireless internet (WiFi), it offers stable network capabilities and a nationwide direct A/S network, making it the only service in the industry to provide “one-stop” handling in case of service failures.
For services linked with AI service robots, once the food ordered through HiOrder is prepared, the AI service robot connected with HiOrder autonomously delivers the food to the ordered table without the manager having to check the table number. There is also a “clear empty dishes” function, allowing customers who have finished their meals to call the AI serving robot to return empty plates and other tableware. The robot integration solution is expected to be an alternative that reduces labor costs and alleviates difficulties in hiring.

The monthly usage fee is 20,900 KRW (including VAT, based on a 36-month contract) per tablet for the menu board and notification board.
