Korean Writers' Association Accepting Entries for National Youth Writing Contest Until the 26th
The Korean Writers' Association is hosting the 29th National Youth Writing Contest for teenagers nationwide.
Eligible applicants are youths aged 17 to under 20 across the country. Participants must choose one theme from "Every Day Will Be Ominous," "Small Scale," or "Transcendence" and write either poetry (two pieces on the chosen theme) or prose (one piece on the chosen theme, within two A4 pages).
Applications will be accepted by mail until the 26th. Approximately 30 preliminary round qualifiers will be announced on June 2, and the final round will be held on June 17.

Awards will be given as follows: ▲ Grand Prize: 1 overall winner (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, prize money of 500,000 KRW) ▲ Second Prize: 1 winner per category (Chairperson of the Korean Writers' Association Award, prize money of 200,000 KRW) ▲ Third Prize: 3 winners per category (Chairperson of the Korean Writers' Association Award, prize money of 100,000 KRW) ▲ Honorable Mention: 10 to 11 winners per category (Chairperson of the Korean Writers' Association Award, prizes). Prize money will be given as cultural gift certificates.
