Yeonggwang-gun Conducts Hygiene Group Training for General Restaurants

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do recently conducted a hygiene group training session for general restaurants at the Yeonggwang Arts Center Grand Performance Hall.

According to the county on the 8th, the training was attended by about 300 people, including Kim Jeongseop, Deputy Governor of Yeonggwang, Kang Pilgu, Chairman of Yeonggwang County Council, Oh Mihwa, member of Jeollanam-do Provincial Assembly, Chu Gyechul, head of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association Yeonggwang branch, and other guests and general restaurant operators in Yeonggwang-gun.

The training covered explanations of the Food Sanitation Act, food poisoning prevention education, customer service training for operators, and fire safety education.

Additionally, a food poisoning prevention campaign, promotion of the public delivery app ‘Meokkebi’, screening of the Jeollanam-do Namdo Food Street promotional video ‘Waborangkke’, water conservation promotion, and other county administration promotions were conducted, along with a resolution meeting pledging to operate kind and hygienic restaurants.

Deputy Governor Kim Jeongseop of Yeonggwang said, “This summer vacation and the 2024 Jeollanam-do Sports Festival are expected to bring many visitors from outside the county,” adding, “General restaurant operators who welcome tourists and guests from outside are considered the face of Yeonggwang, so please strive for a kind and clean county.”

Meanwhile, general restaurant operators who did not complete this group training can complete the hygiene education online, and those who fail to complete the 2023 hygiene education will be subject to fines.
