Lee Cheol-gyu "Killing Taeyoung-ho? ... Difficult to sympathize with such expression"
Secretary-General of the Ruling Party: "Spreading words I never said"
Taeyoungho, a Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, reacted against allegations about himself by calling it a "Taeyoungho killing group lynching," but Lee Cheolgyu, the Secretary-General, stated that it is "difficult to sympathize" with this view.
On the 4th, Lee met with reporters at the National Assembly and said, "I wondered if many people could sympathize with expressions like group lynching," expressing his opinion.

It is undesirable to use false expressions for other purposes based on events that never occurred."
However, when asked whether he thinks Supreme Council Member Tae should voluntarily resign, he refrained from commenting, saying, "I have nothing to say on that matter."
On the 1st, a voice recording of Supreme Council Member Tae was revealed through a media report, in which he said that Senior Secretary Lee requested him to make remarks defending Korea-Japan relations while discussing nomination issues, causing a stir. It is known that this statement was made during a meeting attended by all of his staff.
In response, Supreme Council Member Tae held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office the day before and explained, "The remarks were made to reassure the staff worried about my nomination and to encourage them to focus their activities as a Supreme Council Member on the success of the Yoon Seokyeol administration."
He also said, "Someone among the attendees recorded and leaked it with malicious intent," and added, "We will thoroughly investigate and root out those who illegally recorded and leaked the conversation."
