Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital Holds Clinical Nursing Research Paper Presentation
Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital recently announced on the 4th that it held the ‘2023 11th Clinical Nursing Research Paper Presentation’ to commemorate the hospital’s 19th anniversary in the hospital auditorium.
The presentation event proceeded with a greeting from Head of Nursing Department Ae-kyung Lee, a special lecture by Professor Hyun-joo Yang from Chonnam National University College of Nursing, and paper presentations.
Despite the busy clinical field, the event is held annually on the anniversary of Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital’s opening to improve the quality of nursing and develop nursing as a profession through diverse and high-quality nursing research.
Professor Hyun-joo Yang gave a special lecture on the topic ‘Sleep problems in shift nurses’ to improve nurses’ sleep quality. Five papers were presented: ▲ The effect of job stress of nurses in cancer wards on quality of life (Yoon-kyung Choi, Infection Control Office) ▲ The effect of nurses’ perceived job stress and authentic leadership of nursing unit managers on nurses’ intention to stay (Hye-ja Lee, Central Support Department, Chonnam National University Hospital) ▲ Development and effectiveness verification of end-of-life care education program for nurses working in cancer wards (Mi-sook Jung, Nurse, Ward 63) ▲ The effect of pre- and post-operative exercise program for patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty applying self-efficacy theory (Kyung-hye Park, Dedicated Nurse, Orthopedics, Bitgoeul Chonnam National University Hospital) ▲ Development and effectiveness of a customized nursing practice readiness enhancement program for new nurses (Jung-ah Kim, Education Nurse).
