Effectiveness of Preventing Disappearances of Children and Other At-Risk Individuals
The Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency recommended pre-registering fingerprints by registering information of guardians and children in the police system to prevent child disappearances.
The provincial police agency announced on the 3rd that if fingerprints are registered in advance, the registered data can be used to quickly verify identity in case of emergency.

According to the provincial police agency, anyone under 18 years old as well as individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental disabilities, or dementia who are at risk of disappearance can register.
Be sure to bring an ID card and a family relation certificate, then visit the nearest police precinct or police box, or install the mobile app ‘Safe Dream’ to register.
