S-OIL Donates 150 Million KRW to 5 Eco-Friendly Social Enterprises
"Use Commercialization Funds for Network Building"
S-OIL donated 150 million KRW to support the growth of eco-friendly social enterprises.
S-OIL (CEO Hussein Al-Qatani) announced on the 3rd that it held a donation ceremony for its social enterprise support project at its headquarters in Gongdeok-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The donation will be used as business funds and network formation support for five eco-friendly social enterprises selected through the Yeolmae Sharing Foundation.
S-OIL is providing sponsorship funds for the contest support project to stakeholders of eco-friendly social enterprises.
View original imageSince 2022, S-OIL has been supporting eco-friendly social enterprises to realize social value and strive to create sustainable future value.
The social enterprises selected through the public contest include Remedy Co., Ltd., which makes pet products from waste fibers; Netspa Co., Ltd., which produces textile materials using discarded fishing nets; T-eut Co., Ltd., which improves the environment with silicone menstrual cups; Woorim ICT Co., Ltd., which develops plastic sorters using AI; and Project Noah, which manufactures bamboo toothbrushes and children's toothpaste, totaling five companies.
The company explained that this project is one of the practical efforts to carry out ESG management activities by supporting innovative businesses necessary to respond to the climate crisis.
