Jeju Air Declares Safety and Health Management ... "Safety Starts with Me and Completes with Us"
Jeju Air has declared its commitment to safety and health management to prevent serious accidents.
On the 3rd, Jeju Air announced that it held a 'Safety and Health Management Declaration Ceremony' at its Seoul branch located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, to prevent serious accidents.
At the declaration ceremony, more than 30 executives and employees, including CEO Kim I-bae, safety and health management officers, supervisors, and workers, expressed their commitment to practicing safety and health through an oath. CEO Kim I-bae stated, "We must prioritize safety as the highest value and make our best efforts to prevent industrial accidents," adding, "All workers should recognize themselves as the main agents of industrial safety and health activities and faithfully fulfill their responsibilities and duties."

View original imageIn March, Jeju Air held a slogan contest for executives and employees to promote a safety and health culture. With participation from about 200 people including maintenance technicians and cabin crew, the slogan "Safety starts with me and is completed with us" was selected as the best slogan and an award ceremony was held. The slogan, voluntarily chosen by Jeju Air employees, will be displayed throughout Jeju Air’s workplaces in Incheon, Gimpo, Jeju, and Busan.

Meanwhile, Jeju Air invited Ko Gwang-jae, head of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, to give a special lecture titled "Writing Safety, Reading Management" to strengthen safety awareness. Ko Gwang-jae joined the agency in 1992 and is an expert in safety and health, having served as head of the Safety Culture Team and the Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters.
