Road Traffic Authority Donates Relief Funds to Help Hampyeong Residents Affected by Wildfires
Employees of the Korea Road Traffic Authority have stepped up to help residents of Hampyeong who recently suffered extensive damage from wildfires.
According to the county on the 1st, the Korea Road Traffic Authority donated 3 million won on the 28th of last month to support residents affected by the large-scale wildfire damage.
About 10 officials, including Lee Sang-ik, the Mayor of Hampyeong County, and Lee Ju-min, Chairman of the Korea Road Traffic Authority, attended the donation ceremony.
Chairman Lee Ju-min and other officials from both organizations visited Singwang-myeon, the wildfire-affected area, in person to assess the damage and console the residents.
Chairman Lee Ju-min said, “Since Hampyeong County is an institution that has a cooperative relationship with our authority, our employees voluntarily raised and donated the funds,” adding, “We hope the residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, in November of last year, Hampyeong County signed a business agreement with the Korea Road Traffic Authority to prevent various risks and obstacles that may occur on roads, including reducing traffic accidents.
