Daegu City Councilor Dongwook Lee Urges Urgent School Education Reform Suitable for the 4th Industrial Revolution... Introduces Ordinance Bill as Representative
Daegu City Council member Lee Dong-wook (People Power Party, Buk-gu 5) has taken the lead in proposing the "Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education 4th Industrial Revolution Education Promotion Ordinance," which aims to regulate the establishment and support of educational environments necessary for the era of technological convergence brought by the 4th Industrial Revolution. The ordinance passed the Education Committee review on the 27th and is scheduled for approval at the plenary session on May 4.
This ordinance stipulates the establishment of educational environments and support measures needed to strengthen educational capabilities in response to social changes in the 4th Industrial Revolution era. It includes the formulation and implementation of a basic plan for promoting 4th Industrial Revolution education and focuses on supporting projects such as the development and dissemination of educational policy models to promote 4th Industrial Revolution education.
Council member Lee Dong-wook emphasized, "With the arrival of the 4th Industrial Revolution era, our daily lives are changing rapidly, and the quality of life is also significantly transforming." He added, "Therefore, school education must actively nurture talents necessary for societal structural innovation and changes in the era, aiming to transform into a future educational environment," explaining the reason for proposing the ordinance.
