The Incheon-Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service, while conducting long-term care eligibility investigations, identified difficulties faced by the elderly residents of Gageum 3-ri in accessing dental care. In response, Lotte Wellfood, considering the dental health of the elderly, visited the site with the Doctor Xylitol Bus on the 27th. Dental treatments were provided from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for users of the Gageum 3-ri village hall, and gift sets including xylitol gum and other snacks were distributed.
Launched in 2013, the ‘Doctor Xylitol Bus Goes’ campaign is part of the ‘Healthy Teeth Korea’ project, a social contribution initiative jointly promoted by Lotte Wellfood and the Korean Dental Association to provide practical support to underprivileged neighbors. Once a month, the campaign visits organizations for the disabled and dental care underserved areas to offer free dental treatments, oral health education, and various other events.
