Gwangju Nam-gu, Single-Person Household Safe Home Project Promotion
Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is promoting a project to secure safe living spaces for single-person households by providing a set of four安心 home devices, including home CCTV and door opening sensors.
On the 27th, Nam-gu announced that it will carry out the 'Nam-gu Safe Home Support Project' from next month until the end of the year to prevent crimes targeting single-person households in advance and to enhance the practical awareness of the changed residential safety system.
The project follows the recent selection in the single-person household specialization project contest conducted by Gwangju City, with a total budget of 40 million KRW allocated this year.
The background for promoting the project is that there are 28,656 single-person households in the district, accounting for 31.8% of all households, and the proportion of female single-person households has shown an explosive increase of about 3,000 households over the past three years.
Accordingly, starting from the 1st of next month, Nam-gu plans to accept applications for the安心 home 4-piece set support from female single-person households and single-person households aged 18 to 64, including youth, middle-aged, and senior groups, and will proceed with the related project until the budget is exhausted.
