Porsche Korea Launches Initiative to Discover Young Media Artists
'2023 Porsche Dreamers on Media Art' Contest
Porsche Korea announced on the 27th that it will hold a contest in collaboration with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture under the Seoul Metropolitan Government to discover young media artists and support the creation of their works.
In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars, the contest will be held until the 22nd of next month under the theme of the city’s ‘dreams’ and ‘colors.’ Only artists with 3 to 10 years of experience based on domestic computer graphic image (CGI) video technology are eligible to apply. The final selected candidates will be 2 individuals (or teams).
The final selected works will be produced as 1-minute videos after expert consultation. The works will be exhibited on the media facade of the largest Atrium in Korea, located at the Trade Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul. The works will also be broadcast at digital smart rest areas throughout Seoul. Detailed information can be found on the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture website.
This project is a campaign planned to support the dreams and talents of emerging artists and is a social contribution program linked to public media art, which was planned last year.

Holger Gehrmann, CEO of Porsche Korea, said, “Last year’s media art works capturing Seoul from a creative perspective were impressive as domestic artists and citizens could share cultural and artistic inspiration together. In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars, we look forward to diverse works by young artists showcasing the vibrant scenes of Seoul this year as well.”
