On this day, Samsung Electro-Mechanics awarded five partner companies that achieved excellent results through innovative activities in five categories last year: ▲productivity ▲technology development ▲special ▲quality ▲compliance. Optrontec, which participates in the development of Samsung Electro-Mechanics' camera modules, won the productivity category by innovatively improving costs and productivity through process automation. Hanaro Tech received an award in the quality category by drastically reducing defects in the MLCC process. SE Tech, a package substrate partner company, was selected as an excellent company in the technology category for its contribution to the development of automated equipment. Additionally, ANC Korea received the highest scores in labor rights, including wage systems and compliance with working hours, as well as in safety and environment, winning the compliance management category.
Seong Gyu-dong, CEO of EO Technics and chairman of the Hyeopbuhoe, said, "Overcoming difficult times and maintaining new competitiveness requires a lot of effort," adding, "Since mutual development through cooperation and communication is crucial at this point, let us prepare to enhance Samsung Electro-Mechanics' technological competitiveness and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) capabilities."
President Jang said, "Amid ongoing global economic uncertainties, opportunities and crises coexist," and added, "Let us strengthen win-win cooperation with partner companies and, based on this, create customer value and build a company that remains stable in the market with top products." He also emphasized, "I believe that the development of partner companies will lead to the enhancement of Samsung Electro-Mechanics' competitiveness," and urged, "please actively participate in ESG management for sustainable growth."
Samsung Electro-Mechanics has a total of about 500 partner companies domestically and internationally. About 250 of these are domestic companies. They range from companies with annual sales in the 1 billion KRW range to those in the 1 trillion KRW range. Among them, 37 major domestic parts companies are members of the 'Hyeopbuhoe,' which was formed in 1986. The 'Bu' in Hyeopbuhoe is taken from the first character of the Korean word for parts (部品, Bupum). It symbolically represents leading domestic electronic parts companies.
