The Infectious Disease Management Committee is responsible for establishing a constant infectious disease prevention and surveillance system and building a one-team cooperative system for rapid response and transmission blocking when an infectious disease disaster crisis occurs.
It also provides consultation related to the establishment of infectious disease prevention and management policies, gathering expert opinions from various fields on new infectious diseases, and decision-making.
The term of office is until March 19, 2025.
At the first meeting, they appointed the head of the Cheoin-gu Public Health Center as the chairman and Kim Jae-hong, academic director of the Yongin Medical Association, as the vice chairman, then delivered appointment letters to the committee members.
Additionally, they shared how each institution would respond if the COVID-19 crisis level is adjusted again in the future and discussed prevention management and education systems for high-risk vulnerable infectious disease facilities.
