Kia Selected at 2023 Autocar Awards
On the 25th (local time), Kia was selected as the 'Best Manufacturer' at the '2023 Autocar Awards' hosted by the British automotive magazine Autocar. Autocar is the world's first automotive magazine, first published in 1895. Last year, Kia's EV6 won the award in the Best Electric Vehicle category.
Last year, the company sold a total of 100,191 units in the UK market, surpassing 100,000 annual sales for the first time in 32 years since its entry. In January alone, it sold 10,504 units, achieving the number one monthly sales position among all brands for the first time since entering the UK market.
Paul Philpott, head of Kia UK, said, "The efforts and dedication of all employees, along with confidence in our vehicle lineup, made it possible to sell 100,000 units," adding, "This year, Kia will continue its challenge to lead the electric vehicle transition in the UK market, including the launch of the EV9."
