Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a completely redesigned E-Class model for the first time in seven years.
On the 25th at 5 p.m. (local time), the company revealed the 11th generation E-Class to the world for the first time through a digital world premiere. Since its first launch in 1946, more than 17 million units have been sold worldwide, making it the best-selling model in Mercedes-Benz history. The 10th generation E-Class, launched in 2016, was the first imported car model in Korea to surpass 100,000 units sold, and last year it exceeded 200,000 units. It also recorded the highest sales volume among imported cars for six consecutive years.
The exterior is different from the previous generation. The wheelbase is 20 mm longer than the previous series. The front grille features a black panel radiator grille reminiscent of Mercedes-Benz’s electric EQ models. The grille and headlamp section are connected as one unit. LED headlamps are standard, while digital light is an optional feature. The aerodynamic design achieves an air resistance coefficient of 0.23 Cd.
The airmatic air suspension, which automatically adjusts the suspension according to driving conditions and speed, and the rear axle steering that increases the steering angle up to 4.5° are optional features.

The interior has seen the most changes in the entertainment section. First, third-party apps can be installed and used on the central vehicle display. A digital key function allows an iPhone and Apple Watch to serve as car keys, which can be shared with up to 16 people. The 3rd generation MBUX infotainment system and a preview version of the Mercedes-Benz exclusive operating system MB.OS, scheduled for release in 2025, are installed. This is the company’s first model equipped with 5G data transmission technology.
The MBUX Superscreen, which integrates the central display and the front passenger screen, is an optional feature. The front passenger can watch TV or videos while the car is in motion. When the driver looks at the screen, the brightness is reduced to help the driver focus on driving. The ambient light includes a sound visualization function that changes colors according to the music from videos or apps.
The Energizing Comfort & Coaching technology, which organically adjusts interior temperature, lighting, music, and seats, has been installed. Specifically, it includes a motion sickness prevention program and program settings linked with the Apple Watch.
Convenience features have also been expanded. Using artificial intelligence (AI), the system identifies repetitive driver habits and recommends personalized functions called ‘Routines.’ Drivers can also set their own routines.
