A-Sleep signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for collaboration in the sleep tech field on the 25th (local time) in Washington D.C., USA, with Stanford University School of Medicine and the U.S. National Sleep Foundation (NSF). A-Sleep is the first domestic startup selected for collaboration with Amazon, developing AI (Artificial Intelligence) and IoT (Internet of Things)-based sleep management solutions. A-Sleep expects to engage in joint research to activate sleep tech technology, as well as cooperation on standardizing sleep diagnosis and interpretation going forward.
This achievement was made at the ‘Global Small Business Night’ event hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It provided an opportunity for small and venture businesses accompanying President Yoon Suk-yeol on his state visit to the U.S. to interact with local American companies and Korean-American organizations. In addition to A-Sleep, a total of six technology transfer contracts and MOUs were signed between domestic small and venture companies and U.S. companies across various industries such as bio-healthcare, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and smart manufacturing.
The event also included a session introducing companies that have achieved outstanding results in the U.S. market. Alongside A-Sleep, WizBioSolution, selected for the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant program, and Intellian Technologies, the leading company in maritime antennas, were introduced. Following this, a networking dinner was held with participation from domestic small and venture companies, U.S. companies and associations, and the Federation of Korean Associations in the U.S. (Miju Han Sang Chong Yeon).
