Suwon City Recruits Participants for 'Nurim Account' Providing 100,000 Won Support for 100,000 Won Savings by Disabled Persons
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for participation in the 'Disabled Nuri Account Project' at each Dong Administrative Welfare Center until the 8th of next month.
The Disabled Nuri Account Project is an asset-building support program introduced to help registered persons with disabilities aged 19 to 21 with severe comprehensive disabilities establish a foundation for independence.
If eligible participants deposit 100,000 KRW monthly for two years, they can receive up to 5 million KRW, which includes the accumulated savings, matching support funds (1:1 matching of deposits), and interest. Deposits can be made in increments of 10,000 KRW, ranging from 10,000 KRW to 100,000 KRW per month.
However, support funds will not be provided to those who move out of Gyeonggi Province during the support period or whose disability registration is canceled.
Applications must be submitted in person by the applicant or a proxy (direct ascendants, siblings living in the same household, or the head of a social welfare facility protecting the disabled) at the Dong Administrative Welfare Center of their residence.
After verifying the applicant's eligibility, Suwon City will notify the Nuri Center of the selected candidates, and the Nuri Center will open accounts through the affiliated bank (NH Nonghyup Bank).
