"Healing Young Cancer Patients"… Hanwha Life's 'School of Heroes' Successfully Concludes
Experts from Various Fields Gather to Support Daily Life Recovery of Cancer Patients
Hanwha Life Insurance operated an integrated healing program for young cancer patients in social blind spots.
Hanwha Life Insurance announced on the 24th that it held a completion ceremony for the 2030 cancer survivors integrated healing community program, 'School of Heroes,' at the 1849 Lounge in Jeju City on the 22nd.
Branded as the 'Cancer Healing Equality School,' the 'School of Heroes' is a program designed to enable cancer survivors to communicate emotionally and socially in their daily lives. It has been conducted since November last year for 25 cancer survivors in their 20s and 30s.
By connecting various stakeholders related to cancer, including cancer survivors and their families, psycho-oncology specialists, vocational/employment education experts, and food care startups, the program introduced the industry's first integrated healing program.
During the six-month course, participants experienced one-on-one psychological counseling, cancer type-specific customized dietary lectures and cooking practice, and social rehabilitation courses to learn employment and entrepreneurship trends.
Kim Areum, a participant in the program, said, "Since the time I was receiving treatment, my dream was to regain my daily life, and I feel like I have achieved that dream recently." She added, "Before participating in the program, my daily life was dull, but now I am grateful for every moment."
