KT Introduces AI Indoor Delivery Robots at Jeju Shinhwa World
KT and Jeju Shinhwa World announced on the 23rd that they held the ‘KT AI Indoor Delivery Robot Grand Opening’ event on the 21st at the Landing Resort Hall within Jeju Shinhwa World, located in Seogwipo City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.
This event was held to commemorate the introduction of KT’s artificial intelligence (AI) indoor delivery robots at Jeju Shinhwa World and the commercialization of robot delivery services for hotel guests. Attendees included Lee Sang-ho, head of the KT AI Robot Business Group, Yang Dong-gyu, executive director of Jeju Shinhwa World, and Noh Kyu-chan, executive director in charge of LG Electronics’ robot business, among other officials.

View original imageTo celebrate the grand opening of the indoor delivery robots, Jeju Shinhwa World held an event offering various prizes such as accommodation vouchers and Shinhwa Waterpark tickets to those who named the AI indoor delivery robot. The robot was given the nickname “Ttotttot,” meaning a smart robot derived from a Jeju dialect word that means warm. Additionally, a social media event is being held for Jeju Shinhwa World visitors until the 20th of next month, where participants can take a certification photo with the robot and upload it to SNS for a chance to win prizes such as laptops, Bluetooth speakers, and Jeju Shinhwa World hotel accommodation vouchers through a drawing.

Lee Sang-ho, head of the KT AI Robot Business Group, said, “By introducing multiple AI indoor delivery robots at Jeju Shinhwa World, we have demonstrated the competitiveness of the KT robot platform,” and added, “KT will continue to develop customer-tailored robot services and lead the growth of the domestic robot market in the future.”
