‘2023 National Sports for All Festival’ Held in Gumi

The 2023 National Sports for All Festival will be held from April 27 to 30 for four days in Gumi City, the main host city, and throughout Gyeongbuk Province under the slogan "New Gyeongsangbuk-do! Happy Republic of Korea!".
This year's festival, featuring 40 official events and 3 demonstration events (a total of 43 events), is the largest festival for sports-for-all enthusiasts, with about 60,000 participants including athletes, officials, and spectators from 17 cities and provinces nationwide, fostering friendship and harmony among them.
About 130 Japanese sports-for-all enthusiasts will participate in 9 events, contributing to mutual respect and friendship promotion through sports exchanges beyond regional boundaries and between countries.
Through this event, Gumi City plans to create a stage for a joyful and hopeful festival based on respect, harmony, and friendly competition, enhancing the Gumi City brand value in various aspects and using it as a stepping stone for growth and leap toward the goal of "The Start of the Future, the Center of Innovation! Gumi Re-creation".

Gumi City is making thorough preparations to welcome guests for the National Sports for All Festival.
Focusing on 35 major tasks by field, the city is meticulously inspecting to ensure no inconvenience for visiting athletes and spectators, and cultural events to create a lively festival atmosphere will be held throughout Gumi City.
All administrative efforts are concentrated on creating a safe festival environment, including medical and quarantine support for smooth progress of the festival, maintenance of stadium facilities, and inspection of lodging facilities, reflecting Gumi City's careful consideration.

Gumi City has elevated its status as a sports city capable of hosting nationwide comprehensive sports events by successfully hosting the "102nd National Sports Festival and 41st National Para Sports Festival in 2021" and the "51st National Youth Sports Festival and 16th National Disabled Students Sports Festival in 2022".
With a full return to normal daily life and the festival being held normally for the first time in four years, Gumi plans to conclude the three-year nationwide comprehensive sports events successfully, perfectly prepare for the "62nd Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival in 2024," and continue the momentum through the "2025 Gumi Asian Athletics Championships".
