Google CEO received 300 billion KRW last year, 800 times the average employee salary

Foreign media including Bloomberg reported on the 21st (local time) that CEO Pichai received a total of $226 million (about 301 billion won) last year, thanks to a large stock bonus he receives every three years.
According to the disclosure documents Alphabet submitted to the securities authorities, Pichai's stock bonus last year amounted to $218 million (290.4 billion won). His base salary remained at $2 million (2.7 billion won).
Pichai became Google CEO in 2015. Since December 2019, he has also served as Alphabet CEO and receives a stock bonus every three years based on performance.
Meanwhile, the average annual salary of Alphabet employees last year was $279,802 (37.27 million won). CEO Pichai's salary exceeds this by more than 800 times.
