Korea Tourism Organization and Tongyeong City Join Hands to Create a 'Smart Tourism City'
The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with Tongyeong City to promote digital transformation in tourism and create a customized smart tourism city.

Based on this agreement, the two organizations will develop the Tongyeong Old Town travel digital platform 'Tongyeong One Pick', the island tourism customized information service 'Island 570', the 'Island Welcome Center' for island tourists, and the night tourism specialized content 'Tonight Tongyeong'.
A budget of 8 billion KRW, combining national and local funds, will be invested in this project over three years.
After gathering expert opinions, the project plan will be finalized by the end of this year, with the completion of services and infrastructure planned by 2024.

Lee Jaehwan, Vice President of the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "Tongyeong City was selected as the first specialized night tourism city last year and has experience implementing various contents together with the Tourism Organization. We hope this project will establish digital tourism services and help Tongyeong grow into a truly representative tourism city."
