Yeonggwang-gun, Recruiting Participants for 'Happy Travel Activity Support Project' Until the 28th

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) is recruiting participants for the 'Jeollanam-do Happy Travel Activity Support Project' until the 28th.

According to the county on the 18th, this project supports travel expenses worth 150,000 KRW for tourism-vulnerable groups using travel products selected through a public contest targeting local travel agencies.

The recruitment target is tourism-vulnerable groups aged 6 or older residing in the county as of the announcement date, with a scale of 274 people (24 disabled, 240 low-income).

Tourism-vulnerable groups include low-income individuals who are basic livelihood security recipients or near-poverty class, and disabled persons with physical (wheelchair users), visual, developmental, or hearing disabilities who are basic livelihood security recipients or near-poverty class.

For disabled persons with mobility difficulties, one companion such as a family member, acquaintance, or caregiver can accompany them, and the travel expenses for the companion will also be supported.

Applications can be made by visiting the local town or township office in charge of the applicant's address by the 28th, selecting one of the five travel products (2 for disabled, 3 for low-income) selected through the contest, and applying.

A county official said, "This project aims to resolve difficulties in tourism activities and provide equal tourism opportunities. We hope that residents who have had difficulties participating in tourism activities due to social and economic conditions can join and create joyful and beautiful memories."
