On the 18th, SK Telecom announced that its growth-oriented AI service ‘A. (A.dot)’ won the main prize in the Communication Branding category at the German ‘iF Design Award 2023’. The iF Design Award is considered one of the world’s top three design awards. SKT received this award last year for the T Factory brand identity design. This marks two consecutive years of winning this globally prestigious design award.
A. (A.dot) symbolizes the ‘A’ of AI and, as the first letter of the alphabet, signifies ‘the first brand to open the world’. The brand design was recognized for embodying SKT’s corporate management values as it aims to leap forward as an AI company, while clearly expressing the identity of a friendly AI service.
What sets it apart from other services is its ‘conversational’ nature. It is analyzed that the design, which resembles a living organism, was highly praised. Including the personification element of an eye, it emphasizes forming a personally intimate relationship with actual users and acting as a growing partner. Additionally, the geometric yet simple design allows for efficient and clear communication in all environments when applying the logo, which the judges noted, SKT explained.
