Hyundai Motor Extends Sponsorship Contract with World Archery Federation Until 2025
Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 17th that it has renewed its sponsorship contract with the World Archery Federation as of last February. With this, Hyundai will continue to support the World Archery Federation until 2025.
Since signing its first sponsorship agreement with the World Archery Federation in 2016, Hyundai has consistently played the role of title sponsor. The World Archery Federation is an international organization that oversees archery competitions worldwide, hosting the annual Archery World Cup and the World Archery Championships every odd-numbered year.
As Hyundai takes on the title sponsorship of the World Archery Federation, the federation will name the Archery World Cup and the World Archery Championships as the Hyundai Archery World Cup and Hyundai World Archery Championships, respectively. The first stage of the 2023 Hyundai Archery World Cup will be held on the 18th of this month in Antalya, Turkey. The Hyundai World Archery Championships are scheduled to take place in Berlin, Germany in July and in Gwangju Metropolitan City, Korea in 2025.

During the sponsorship period, Hyundai will be allowed to use the "Hyundai-World Archery Federation integrated logo" at all official events organized by the World Archery Federation. Additionally, the brand name "Hyundai" will be inserted into the titles of the Archery World Cup and World Championships, enabling active marketing activities to promote the brand to sports fans worldwide.
Ur Erdeneer, President of the World Archery Federation, stated, "Hyundai and the World Archery Federation are working together to inspire the creation of a sustainable world," adding, "This sponsorship renewal is a celebration of our long-standing partnership and a journey toward the future." He further said, "We look forward to celebrating 10 years of Hyundai’s title sponsorship with the world’s top archers at the 2025 Hyundai World Archery Championships to be held in Gwangju."
Jang Jae-hoon, President of Hyundai Motor Company, said, "We are pleased to continue our partnership with the World Archery Federation," and added, "We hope this partnership will contribute to the development and expansion of the archery sport."

Hyundai has continuously supported the enhancement of South Korea’s archery competitiveness since 1985, when Chung Mong-koo, Honorary Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, was appointed President of the Korea Archery Association. In 2005, Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, succeeded as President of the Korea Archery Association. Hyundai has been recognized for contributing to South Korea’s rise to the top of the world archery scene by focusing on sports science-based performance improvement, systematization of excellent athlete development programs, and expansion of the archery base.
