Police Arrest Man in His 30s for Detaining Debtor's Vehicle
A man suspected of confining a victim in a car for an hour to force repayment of borrowed money was arrested by the police.
According to the police on the 17th, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul apprehended a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A (30), on the evening of the 14th at around 9:10 PM at a building in Gangnam on charges of joint confinement under the Act on Punishment of Violent Crimes.
Mr. A is suspected of, along with three other accomplices, forcing the victim into a car and preventing them from leaving at around 9 PM on the 12th in a hotel parking lot in Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The victim escaped and reported to the police while the suspects went to retrieve an IOU.
Earlier, police who responded to the report arrested one suspect at the scene on the spot and persuaded two others to voluntarily appear, leading to their urgent arrest in front of a nearby police substation. Mr. A is reported to have fled the scene that day.

A police official stated, "All four suspects are currently under investigation without detention regarding the specific motives behind the crime."
