Chungnam Governor Kim Tae-heum's US Business Trip to Target Semiconductor Materials and Components Companies
Kim Tae-heum, Governor of Chungnam Province, has embarked on a business trip to target semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment companies in the United States.
According to Chungnam Province on the 17th, Governor Kim will visit the United States for a 4-night, 6-day schedule from the 17th to the 22nd.
On the first day of departure, Governor Kim arrived in New York and held a meeting with Korean-American journalists active locally, as well as executives and members of the Chungcheong Association of the U.S. East Coast.
The following day, he plans to visit a semiconductor-related equipment manufacturer in New York and an industrial gas and engineering company in Connecticut to finalize investment negotiations and sign agreements.
The foreign investment attracted through investment agreements with these two companies is expected to exceed $100 million, which the province anticipates will serve as a stepping stone for attracting large-scale foreign investment in the future.
On the 19th, Governor Kim will meet with a local semiconductor material production company in Massachusetts, and on the 20th, he will hold investment consultations with local semiconductor and display companies in New York.
