Shinsegae Group Donates 500 Million Won and Relief Supplies for Gangneung Wildfire
Priority Use for Disaster Area Recovery and Support for Disaster Victims
Shinsegae Group announced on the 14th that it will donate 500 million KRW to support the recovery of the local community affected by the wildfire in the Gangneung area.
The donation will be made to the 'Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association' and will be used for the restoration of the wildfire-affected areas and support for disaster victims.
Along with the donation, relief supplies were also provided. Shinsegae Group affiliates such as E-Mart and E-Mart 24 supplied daily necessities and snacks to areas in need through local governments and relief associations due to the wildfire damage.
Through E-Mart, Shinsegae Group proactively provided emergency relief supplies on the 11th. E-Mart Gangneung branch delivered daily necessities such as bottled water, cup noodles, and wet wipes to Gangneung City Hall. They plan to continue providing support sequentially to places in need. On the 11th, E-Mart 24 delivered relief supplies for about 1,000 people, including bottled water and cup noodles, to the wildfire temporary shelters.

A Shinsegae Group official said, "We decided to contribute recovery funds and daily necessities to offer even a small help to the wildfire-affected areas," adding, "We hope the damage to disaster victims and the local community will be restored quickly."
