Hyundai Department Store Group Donates 300 Million KRW for Gangneung Wildfire Damage Recovery
Donation of Funds to the National Disaster Relief Association
Hyundai Department Store Group announced on the 16th that it will donate 300 million KRW in relief funds to the National Disaster Relief Association to support the recovery of the Gangneung area in Gangwon Province, which suffered significant damage from wildfires.
The relief funds will be used for providing daily necessities to wildfire victims, operating evacuation facilities, and supporting damage recovery efforts.
Previously, Hyundai Department Store Group donated 500 million KRW in relief funds in March last year to aid recovery from wildfires in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions. In August of the same year, it contributed 500 million KRW to support flood recovery and victims in the central regions including Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon. Last month, it delivered cash and relief supplies worth a total of 500 million KRW to support earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
