Four 'Sonbadak Gardens' Established at Suwon City Yeonhwajang
The Saebit Suwon Sonbadak Garden Group in Suwon is taking a commemorative photo after creating a palm-sized garden at the Suwon City Yeonhwajang.

The Suwon City Park and Greenery Project Office announced on the 15th that, in collaboration with the Saebit Suwon Palm Garden Group, they have established four gardens themed ▲The Flow of Time ▲A Quiet Morning in the Forest ▲A Place Where Beautiful Souls Stay ▲Hydrangea Garden in the leftover spaces around the 2nd Memorial Hall of Suwon Yeonhwajang.
A total of 6,600 plants, including Liriope muscari, variegated Liriope muscari, and variegated Solomon's seal, were planted in these palm-sized gardens.
Suwon City plans to identify additional spaces in need of garden creation and develop more palm-sized gardens.
An official from the city said, "Palm-sized gardens are spaces created with direct participation from citizens," and urged, "We ask citizens to actively participate in the creation of these gardens."

Last year, the city recruited the 'Saebit Suwon Palm Garden Group.' Currently, about 670 citizens have joined and are actively participating. The Palm Garden Group supports the creation of palm-sized gardens by residents. Their activities include garden maintenance, conducting garden management education and programs, and promoting the palm-sized gardens.
