According to Lee Do-woon, spokesperson for the Presidential Office, Kim took part in the Saemaul Movement's mobile laundry volunteer activity called 'Saemaul Fresh and Cozy Love Sharing' at the Hanbat Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Seo-gu, Daejeon, that morning.
Using a laundry vehicle, Kim washed and hung blankets on drying racks together with Saemaul Movement officials and university Saemaul club members. Afterwards, she visited elderly residents nearby to personally deliver the washed and dried blankets along with essential goods packages.
In the afternoon, Kim visited the '100 Won Auction' event held at Taepyeong Traditional Market in Jung-gu, Daejeon, and donated the necktie worn by President Yoon.
The 100 Won Auction is an event where items donated by market merchants, such as agricultural products, are auctioned off, and the proceeds are used to gift childcare supplies to families with newborns in the region. The event had been suspended since October 2019 due to COVID-19 but resumed this month.
