Changwon National University Table Tennis Team Rookie Made a Splash ... Park Ji-eun Runner-up in Singles
Park Ji-eun, a first-year student in the Department of Physical Education and a member of the table tennis team at Changwon National University, won the runner-up title in the women's college individual singles at the 69th National Men and Women Table Tennis Championships.
The tournament was held from the 10th to the 13th at the Park Chung-hee Gymnasium in Gumi, Gyeongbuk.
According to the university, Park is a rookie player recognized for her skills by Daejeon Facilities Management Corporation and Gangdong-gu Office.

View original imageOn the final day of the tournament, the 13th, she advanced to the finals by winning a full-set battle against Baek Su-jin, considered the ace of Kongju National University, in the women's college individual singles semifinals.
In the final, she led the early stages of the match against Oh Min-ji, the winner of the Universiade selection earlier this month, but could not overcome physical difficulties and finished as the runner-up.
Jang Yoon-seo, a second-year student who participated in her first individual singles tournament since entering university, reached the semifinals, and along with third-year student Kang Eun-ji, secured third place in the individual doubles event.
