View original imageThe British media outlet 'The Guardian' reported on the malfunction that occurred on the roller coaster 'The Big One' at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the UK on the 13th (local time). The Big One is the tallest roller coaster in the UK, with a peak height of 72 meters.
The accident happened around 2:50 PM on the 11th. The train suddenly stopped while ascending to the top. The amusement park staff attempted to repair the roller coaster, but the train did not move, leaving passengers with no choice but to get down on their own.
Under the guidance of the amusement park staff, passengers disembarked from the roller coaster and evacuated along the steep emergency stairs.

A nearby hotel manager also told 'The Guardian,' "All responses were orderly and safe," and added, "Although such incidents happen occasionally, watching the scene from afar was definitely not enjoyable."
The accident was reported to have been caused by a sudden change in weather. The amusement park stated that the ride stopped due to a sudden strong wind, and The Big One was shut down on the day of the incident.
