Huons Meditech announced on the 14th the launch of a new extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy model, 'URO-MXD,' which improves image quality and enhances procedural convenience.
The URO-MXD is a magnetic-type extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter designed to easily detect urinary stones formed inside the body. Equipped with a stone detection detector from the French company Thales, it can quickly locate stones, and by aligning the shock wave generator with the focus, it enables precise stone fragmentation, the company explained.

Huons Meditech plans to expand its extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy lineup starting with the launch of the URO-MXD. A new model with added ultrasound equipment is scheduled for release in the second half of this year. A Huons Meditech representative stated, "This new model will increase convenience for practitioners," and added, "We expect to lead the domestic and international medical device markets with excellent performance and reasonable pricing."
