Season Period Change Confirmed from 2024
The PGA Tour has announced its fall series schedule.
On the 12th (local time), the PGA Tour announced at its headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA, "This year, the fall series will feature a total of 10 tournaments, including 7 regular tour events." The current season will be operated as the 2022-2023 season, and from 2024 onward, it will be changed to the 2024 season. The season schedule, which until last year started in the fall and ended around August of the following year, will now begin in January of the new year.
This year's fall series will kick off on September 14 in Napa, California, USA, with the Fortinet Championship. Following that, the Sanderson Farms Championship, Shriners Children's Open, and Zozo Championship will take place in October, and in November, the World Wide Technology Championship, Bermuda Championship, and RSM Classic will follow. The Hero World Challenge, Grant Thornton Invitational, and PNC Championship, scheduled for December, are unofficial events. The CJ Cup and Houston Open, which were held in the fall until last year, have been removed from this year's fall schedule.

Among the fall series tournaments, the 7 regular tour events grant the winners a 2-year PGA Tour membership, eligibility for the season-opening Sentry Tournament of Champions, The Players Championship, and major tournaments. The top 70 players in the 2022-2023 FedEx Cup standings qualify for the playoffs, and after the first playoff event, the top 50 earn eligibility to participate in the 'premier events' of the 2024 PGA Tour season. Through the fall series, the final 125 players with tour cards will be determined.
