Gang Detained by Police for Forcing Victim into Car and Holding Them Hostage Over Debt Repayment
A group accused of confining a victim inside a vehicle for one hour to demand repayment of borrowed money has been arrested by the police.
According to the police on the 13th, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul is investigating three men in their 20s on charges of joint confinement under the Act on Punishment of Violent Crimes.
They are accused of taking the victim, Mr. A, into a car at a hotel parking lot in Gonghang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, around 9 p.m. the previous day and preventing him from leaving.
Mr. A reported to the police while they went to get an IOU. Upon receiving the report, the police dispatched officers who arrested one of the three suspects on the spot and persuaded the other two to voluntarily appear, leading to their urgent arrest in front of a nearby police substation.

The police are currently tracking another suspect, Mr. B (30), who fled after the crime.
