After attorney Kwon Kyung-ae represented the bereaved family of a school violence victim and lost the case due to her absence from the trial, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education decided to waive the claim for litigation costs against the plaintiff.
On the morning of the 11th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education held a litigation review committee meeting to deliberate on the agenda and announced that it made this decision considering the special circumstances where the plaintiff ultimately lost the lawsuit due to the plaintiff's attorney's negligence, including absence.

However, attorney Kwon did not attend the appellate trial three times, resulting in the bereaved family, the plaintiff side, ultimately losing the case. Accordingly, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education applied to the court for litigation costs of 13 million won in accordance with its own litigation administration regulations.
